Hi, I’m George Siciliano. I make, teach and lecture about miniature quilts. Virginia, my best friend and my wife of 40 years, and I enjoy meeting new people and we especially enjoy making people laugh.
We share a ”quilt studio” in our home in Lebanon Pa. Virginia is also a teacher of hand quilting and assists me with the lectures, presentations and workshops.

We especially hope you enjoy your visit to our site. Spend as much time as you wish, if you should have any questions or comments you can email, phone or write to us. We spend a lot of time ‘on the road’ so if you don’t hear from us right away, that's why. We will contact you as soon as we return home.

Be sure to visit our on line store. We are especially proud of our gradated fabric selections. Of course my patterns are all my own design and they are all very doable. Before you begin your visit I would like to ask you a small favor. We go to many quilt shows and guilds, if you should see us please come over and say hello. We would really like to meet you.
Happy Quilting!

Virginia Siciliano has been quilting for over 20 years. She enjoys taking traditional patterns and using them in unique ways. She has a wonderful color sense and finds that each quilt she makes challenges this sense. Upon selecting the color palette the next challenge is fabric choice and placement. She is part of the fast dying breed of quilters who feel that hand quilting is the most exciting and fulfilling part of the quilting process.

She is nationally recognized for her beautiful hand quilting. Among her achievements:
a third place award at the American Quilters Society, Paducah Ky. 2001, “traditional pieced” category.

At the Vermont Quilt Festival 2001 she received “Best Pieced Traditional” and “blue ribbon” for points.

In New York quilts she received a blue ribbon for points and the judges choice awards.

Virginia received the First place (blue ribbon) in the traditional pieced category and the “Hand Quilting” awards at a Smithtown Stitchers Show 2002.

At the Eastern Long Island Quilters Guild show, 2001 she received a merit award and the “viewers choice”.

Also in 2001 she received first place in traditional pieced and the judges choice awards at the Maine quilt show.

Her quilt “Samarkand” was one of the quilts chosen to be displayed at the Japan Quilt Expo in Tokyo Japan.

“Samarkand” was also featured in the book “Foundation Borders” by Jane Hall and Dixie Haywood and published by the American Quilters Society”

Virginia shares her quilt studio with her husband George
(40 years) and as of this day, they are still talking.

George is a former United States Marine. He was a member of the famous Marine Drum & Bugle Corps, attached to the even more famous Marine Band at 8th & I Streets in Washington DC from 1961-1966. After his separation from the Marines, as a hobby, he taught children how to play a horn at the Washington DC Police Boys Club. In the 90’s he marched in the West Sayville Fire House Senior Drum & Bugle Corps on Long Island N.Y.

In September of 1997 he took up quilting. (his wife's passion). He decided to specialize in variations of the ‘log cabin’ block because he saw the endless design possibilities. He currently has over 150 different variations of this block on his computer data base.

In his first 5 years of competition he has accumulated 65 ribbons for his unique works, in local, national and international shows, with 21 of these being first place ‘blue’.

He has been published in ‘Miniature Quilts Magazine’ in the winter 2002 issue. The article is called “Meet George Siciliano”. One of his quilts is featured in a book published by ‘Rodale Press’ called ‘Marvelous Miniatures’ and most recently another one of his quilts was featured in an American Quilters Society book called “American Quilting 1970-2000”
.
He has demonstrated his techniques at the American Folk Art Museum in New York City and currently one of his quilts is part of the American Quilters Society’s traveling exhibit called, ’Man Made Quilts’.

In his first year as a professional teacher George was nominated for “Quilt Teacher of the Year 2003”, by several quilters, to Professional Quilter Magazine. He is sought after by many quilt guilds around the country to teach and demonstrate his unique techniques. His easy going style of teaching makes the construction of a “miniature masterpiece” very doable and lots of fun.
